BABYLON AND ARMAGEDDON
June 16th – 22nd, 2018
MEMORY TEXT: “And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.” Revelation 17:5
SABBATH AFTERNOON: Though Babylon occurs 6 times in the Revelation, however, does not refer to the ancient power that oppressed God’s people but the current & future political and religious partnerships that will repeat the oppression of those who choose to keeps God’s entire law.
SUNDAY: Revelation speaks to the spiritual fall of this modern Babylon under full control of the devil. Those who stand for God will be attacked and oppressed by Babylon but it will not prevail in the long-term.
MONDAY: The oppressor of the church (Babylon) will represent a coming together of political & church’s that teach corrupt doctrine and become a force of evil. It will become necessary to bow to or join the corrupted or face economic sanction & persecution. Satan will work through all avenues to have people believe lies and false doctrine in contravention of God’s entire law.
TUESDAY: Both Christains and secular people believe the end will come. While movies paint varied pictures, we are assured that the end will be the showdown between the forces of God and Satan and his fallen army. In the end all will have to stand and give account for their deeds even those of Babylon.
WEDNESDAY: It is that in the end the battle between God & the fallen is based on worship. People have turned away from worshipping the Creator and instead placed focus, worship, resources in service of other false gods.
THURSDAY: As in olden days, consistently humankind have chosen to follow a devil who constantly opposes the Creator of us all. Elijah had to prove God before the unbelieving masses. As always God showed up to show He is God supremely. The evil always seems to outnumber the good but be reminded that God has never lost in battle to the devil.
PREPARATION DAY: The battle of Armageddon will be a battle for the mind and heart of mankind. The great war at the end is about worship and allegiance to the Creator our God or giving His due worship, love and followership to the devil who has always envied his Creator. We must seek to protect our minds and avenues to it from the corrupting influences and traps that have been set by the evil one. The Lamb of God has never lost to the devil so let us seek God with our hearts.
