Teen-Time!

Dear Teens,

Do you realise how most tenderly Jesus Christ loves you (yes, you...) personally? Yes, He does, too!

In fact, so much so that He came to earth to suffer and die just to rescue you from the miseries of sin!

This is because you are most precious to His heart!…

Do you know how beautiful are the plans and how high are the expectations He has set for your life? If ever in doubt, or forgetful, please re-visit Jeremiah 29:11-13!

His plans and expectations for you are worthy and high enough, for Him to send His Holy Spirit to comfort and guide you through His Word, the Bible.

For example, please prayerfully memorise 1 Timothy 4:12.

May the LORD direct and bless you always.

Prayers and Hugs,

Aunty D.

To The Young:

Truth A Divine Sentinel
July 13th

“Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity.” 1 Timothy 4:12

“I appeal to the youth. Consider your ways. . . .

“No youth can withstand the temptations of Satan if the truth, with its purifying, uplifting power, is not abiding in the heart. Truth has a correcting influence upon the life. It is a divine sentinel, keeping watch in your souls and rousing to action against Satan’s assaults. Under the divine influence of truth the mind will be strengthened, the intellect invigorated, and there will be a growing up in the knowledge of the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent. Do not tarnish the truth by indulging in habits and practices that are inconsistent with its holy character, but hold it as a treasure of highest value. . . .

“The Lord desires you to understand the position you occupy as sons and daughters of the Most High, children of the Heavenly King. He desires you to live in close connection with Him. . . . Determine that you will be on the Lord’s side. If you will stand under the blood-stained banner of Prince Emmanuel, faithfully doing His service, you need never yield to temptation, for One stands by your side who is able to keep you from falling. Every youth is granted a probation in which to form a character for the future, immortal life. Precious, golden moments these will be to you if you improve them according to the light God is permitting to shine upon you from His throne. . . .

“Will the youth turn their faces heavenward? Will they open the chambers of the mind to the Sun of Righteousness? Will they throw open the door of the heart and welcome Jesus in? What beauty of character shone forth in the daily life of Christ! He is to be our pattern. There is a great work to be done in fashioning the character after the divine similitude. The grace of Christ must mold the entire being, and its triumph will not be complete until the heavenly universe shall witness habitual tenderness of feeling, Christlike love, and holy deeds in the deportment of the children of God.” TMK 200.2-200.5

Easy Does It… But Does What?!

“Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.” 1 Peter 2:12

“And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.” Revelation 20:12

“And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be.” Revelation 22:12

“The desire for an easy religion that requires no striving, no self–denial, no divorce from the follies of the world, has made the doctrine of faith, and faith only, a popular doctrine; but what saith the word of God? Says the apostle James: What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? Can faith save him? … Wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead? Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? Seest thou how faith wrought with his works, and by works was faith made perfect? … Ye see then how that by works a man is justified, and not by faith only. – James 2:14–24”

The Sabbath Express

“And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.” Isaiah 65:24

“Never a prayer is offered, however faltering, never a tear is shed, however secret, never a sincere desire after God is cherished, however feeble, but the Spirit of God goes forth to meet it. Even before the prayer is uttered or the yearning of the heart made known, grace from Christ goes forth to meet the grace that is working upon the human soul.”
Christs Object Lessons Page 206.1

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.” Jeremiah 33:3

“The demands upon God are even greater upon the Sabbath than upon other days. His people then leave their usual employment, and spend the time in meditation and worship. They ask more favors of Him on the Sabbath than upon other days. They demand His special attention. They crave His choicest blessings. God does not wait for the Sabbath to pass before He grants these requests.”

Friend,
What might be keeping you from asking thus, on this very Sabbath?…
By God’s grace, have a joyous, restful Sabbath-Day experience.

Advent-Hour Courtship Is For Marriage

Whoso findeth a wife findeth a good thing, and obtaineth favour of the LORD.” Proverbs 18:22

“Let those who are contemplating marriage weigh every sentiment and watch every development of character in the one with whom they think to unite their life destiny. Let every step toward a marriage alliance be characterized by modesty, simplicity, sincerity, and an earnest purpose to please and honor God. Marriage affects the afterlife both in this world and in the world to come. A sincere Christian will make no plans that God cannot approve.” Ministry of Healing 359

Two Are Better Than One…

“And the LORD God said, It is not good that the man should be alone; I will make him an help meet for him.
“And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.
“Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.” Genesis 2:18,23-24

“Like every other one of Gods good gifts entrusted to the keeping of humanity, marriage has been perverted by sin; but it is the purpose of the gospel to restore its purity and beauty. In both the Old and the New Testament the marriage relation is employed to represent the tender and sacred union that exists between Christ and His people, the redeemed ones whom He has purchased at the cost of Calvary.”

Pause And Pray At Noon…

“Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud: and he shall hear my voice.” Psalms 558:17

“Prayer is the breath of the soul. It is the secret of spiritual power. No other means of grace can be substituted, and the health of the soul be preserved. Prayer brings the heart into immediate contact with the Well-spring of life, and strengthens the sinew and muscle of the religious experience. Neglect the exercise of prayer, or engage in prayer spasmodically, now and then, as seems convenient, and you lose your hold on God.”

Sabbath School Lesson Summary: Week 1

YOU WILL BE MY WITNESSES
June 30th – July 6th, 2018

MEMORY TEXT: “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.” Acts 1:8

SABBATH AFTERNOON: The book of Acts is about the spread of the gospel of Jesus Christ. It captures the journey to Spiritual maturity from Jesus training His disciples to them going out and spreading the message after His ascension. The universality of the gospel is a central theme, we are before God all the same, His fallen creation, sinners who have access to salvation through Him.

SUNDAY: The story of Christ, our Messiah in the old and new testament was not about an earthly king. The prophecies speak to His coming, His death and resurrection which must precede His second coming. Even His disciples had hoped for political careers on Earth.

MONDAY: The greatest promise to the disciples was the key to their earthly mission; receiving the gift of the Spirit. The Holy Spirit would be key to them being able to spread the message of Christ locally, regionally and internationally. They were like us tasked to take the Word of God to all the nations.

TUESDAY: Jesus has throughout His ministry spoken of His second return. While in His ascension those who observed Him go, should go and share what they witnessed, His return will however, be witnessed by all… (Acts 1:9-11).

WEDNESDAY: In the end time many will pretend to know when Christ will return. Christ did not reveal the time of His coming (Acts 1:7, 8, 11), He however, reveals that it must be ever before us in our thoughts, actions and choices.

THURSDAY: Paul became an apostle because he met Christ on his Damascus road… We are all on a road with Christ, what we experience should allow us to offer a witness to others to help them. We are like the disciples, messengers to Christ. Humans tend to get divided based on a long list of things that means nothing to Christ who sees us all as humans, as His creations , as equals before Him.

PREPARATION DAY: The simple fact is that every Christian is called to be a witness to others of Christ. This focus should be embodied in our ever thought and action. The point is not for us to just know about Christ. But to take the next step in becoming witnesses and messengers of Christ.
